Networking at the BAA Annual Conference 2025
I attended the British Academy of Audiology Annual Conference 2025 in Telford, a key event in the UK audiology calendar and a valuable opportunity to connect with people from across the hearing care profession.
For me, attending events like this is an important part of the work I do through Audiology Marketing Professionals. Good audiology marketing strategy does not happen in isolation. It comes from understanding the profession, the conversations taking place within it, and the challenges and opportunities facing audiologists today.
The conference brought together audiologists, hearing care professionals, suppliers, researchers and organisations from across the sector. While the programme itself was valuable, the real strength of the event was also in the conversations around it - the introductions, catch-ups and informal discussions that help build stronger professional relationships.
As someone who supports independent audiologists with marketing strategy, visibility and patient communication, staying connected to the wider profession matters. It helps ensure the marketing advice I give is relevant, informed and grounded in the realities of hearing care.
One of my key reflections from the conference was that audiology marketing needs to keep pace with the profession itself. As hearing healthcare continues to evolve, practices need to communicate clearly, confidently and consistently, helping patients understand the value of good hearing care and feel reassured about taking the next step.
The BAA Annual Conference was a valuable opportunity to listen, learn and strengthen relationships across the audiology community.
